hi!
firstly, my order from lush arrived yesterday and used them at night and this morning. my order consisted of coalface, tea tree water and vanishing cream, just two uses it's not going to make a difference but actually, you can feel in your skin how they work, probably in a month i will talk fondly of the results.

coalface it's a solid face cleanser whose principal ingredient it's charcoal (thus the name) made for oily troubled skin; it really smells!! something like sandalwood? if you are not into herbal smells then you will be uncomfortable (like when you enter witchcraft stores... but they only exist in latin america so lmao), once you pad your face with a towel you feel clean, refreshed and matte? it absorbs the oil and doesn't leave your face stretched? but let's see!

tea tree water it's a toner for all skin types (mostly oily). cleans dirt from skin and it feels so so fresh! and kind of tightening? not a bad tightening but the closed pores one. also has a light smell, a very soft smell, i don't think it's uncomfortable at all.

vanishing cream it's a moisturiser. it's really light, TRUE 100% oil free!! it feels so so soft and light on the skin but so revitalizing, makes my skin feels loved tbqh. like coalface it smells a lot, but i love lavanda so it's ok.

the free samples i got are flying fox (liquid soap), helping hands (hand cream) and herbalism (solid face cleanser), herbalism was my first option when looking for a cleanser so i'm really glad they sent me a sample, let's see if it's a good choice too.

secondly, yesterday (too) i read a fanfic called lavanya. i'm writing about this one because it's been a while since i read something so outstanding, something that makes a difference in my life. the story was inspired by e.s. posthumus's lavanya, the title is an indian word for beauty. once you read it, beauty has a whole new meaning; a deeper, truly beautiful new meaning. but not only beauty but love, life and the way they're related. at first, it has a quote from Meša Selimović that says:

Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in this world that does not hurt.

i cried for hours, and the print it leave on me i really, really want to make it a tattoo.
